McCoun Tomahawks specializes in producing traditional style tomahawks to fit a wide range of uses. We have chosen 4140 for our steel type because of its chromium and carbon content making it an excellent choice for heavy use high impact tools.
This Tomahawk has a slot at the top of the handle with a hammer wedge inside. The wedge can be driven in further with a square punch should the head become loose on the handle.
Specifications:
The Head of this tomahawk is pinned onto the handle, this prevents the head from sliding down the handle if the handle shrinks.

I HAVE PURCHASED THE BLACK OPS TANTO AS MY SECOND TOMAHAWK FROM MCCOUN TOMAHAWKS AND THE QUALITY IS AMAZING. THEY BOTH CAME SHARP BUT I TOOK THEM TO MY CUSTOM KNIVE SHOP TO HAVE THEM SHARPENED RAZOR SHARP. THEY TURNED OUT PERFECT! THE QUALITY IS SO GOOD THAT THE KNIFE SHOP ASKED FOR WHO MADE THEM TO CONTACT MCCOUN TO PUT SOME OF HIS QUALITY PIECES IN HIS SHOP. HE CARRIES ALL AMERICAN MADE PRODUCTS AND THIS FITS PERFECT IN HIS WHEELHOUSE. THEY ARE SOMETHING I AM EXTREMELY PROUD OF.
